did the company not tell you in orientation....if theirs any problem with training or your trainer to notify the company ? this is the most common problem with student's, they tend to "just deal with it" to get thou with training so they can get in to their own truck. saying to themselves in my truck things will be different. and that usually don't work out for the best.

new people do your selves a favor.....your trainer is supposed to give you your OTR training. if you have a personality conflict with that person, get with the company and express your concerns.
because if no one says anything then nothing will change, and those bad trainers won't be held accountable for their actions. or they won't have the opportunity to better themselves. some times they need to understand whats acceptable and not.

Well, that just reiterates my point of how crooked this outfit is. I do agree that anyone who doesn't know how to run their own business or is inexperienced as a driver to lease is stupid and ignorant but making it incredibly easy for people like this to lease is downright crooked!

your right, new CDL holders are not limited. but they have less options than experienced drivers.

it seems that most new (not all) CDL holders pick the path of least resistance. or they don't spend the time to check out all there options. :biggrin_25513:

Doesn't make them crooked ... I take it you are a democrat. You seem to have an issue with people being responsible for thier own actions.

Not to mention you are spreading hearsay, rumors and inuendo with no actual knowledge of the facts ... It would appear that your second trainer at Werner was rather perceptive.

That's exactly what I did with Werner. I "just dealt with it" because I wanted to get into my own truck. That was a mistake. I don't want people to make the same mistake I did. You do have the option of getting rid of a "bad trainer" and that's exactly what you should do if you and that person can't get along.

Lets see at WERNER everyone was a JERK , CRE is the place to be based on no experience with them .:biggrin_2555:

Sounds like your MEDS might be for more than depression.

Carrotop hit it on the head! All these newbies go for the mega-carriers because they make it too easy to get hired. Most newbies think there are only 5 trucking companies! The harder and more effort you have to put in to get on with a trucking company, then the more worth it they are to work for. Find some of the companies that aren't advertising as much. This means that their drivers are happier and like working there better so their turn-over rate is much lower. Your biggest success is going to be your dispatcher. Why go to one of these companies where your dispatcher is responsible for over 150 drivers. This pretty much makes a you a number and your load assignments are lottery style!

While I do take some responsibility for my bad experience at Werner, that doesn't mean that I deserved to be treated like dirt. If I do go back into trucking I will promptly get rid of a trainer that doesn't treat me well.

Ok I must laugh at how so many people state that CRE pushes a lease upon people. So far all I have seen is that state that those that lease AND properly manage their new BUSINESS will succeed more than the same type of person that is a company driver. however they do state also that if you are not 100% sure then YES you SHOULD NOT lease at this time. every instructor I have met so far all say the same thing IF you want to lease they will put you into contact with those responsible but IF you don't want to lease then they drop the issue...
