What get me is last week I picked up two new lumber tarps on Tuesday. Picked up a preloaded lowe's trailer on Thursday which ment I had to leave them at lowe's. Unloaded Friday morning to find the one tarp had an 18" gash in the top. The thing is when dropping tarps off they have an area for bad tarps. I guess i'm expecting too much some times . I'll bet the next driver will like my new tarps.

I disagree. As a company driver I was taught to take care of your equipment and leaving my equipment that earns my livelihood is something I would never do.

My company only wants us to carry 6 chains and binders. I have 11. Sometimes you have to work around a companies rules to do a good job and be efficient, but sometimes you can't and you do the best with what you're given. Good luck.

When you pick up a lowes you have to leave tarps bungees and a few straps since they tarp and starp the load.

That's scary having some Lowes warehouse worker strapping loads.

Home Improvement loads are funky. They load up some lumber and then throw something fragile on top like lattice...

You as the driver must check and add securement to the preloaded trailers. When you go in there empty you will do a trailer swap with a preloaded trailer. It will have tarps on and maybe some straps. You as the driver must finish the securement and finish securing the tarp. You are not permitted on the load or trailer. When dropping off your trailer you are required to leave 8 -4" straps and your two lumber tarps.

I agree with you. I keep my equipment in good condition. However put in the lowe's situation, driver gets what the last driver left. That's all I'm saying. And the same goes for home depot.

    You ain't kidding.

It's bad enough having to go behind our dock idiots in the LTL sector. Having to do it while flatbedding is a terrifying thought.
