I have been running with them now for 3 years.
For me its great, drive dedicated, home every 4 1/2 days and earn good.
I realise its not that great for everyone, but it works great 4 me.

I'm going to start my orientation with CR England, May 11, 2009. Anyone have any ideas or advice. How much money I'm expenting after my training a week and if is true above what they say.
-
but all I have done on this site is tell my story about going into into trucking.
read all of my posts. i started posting when i started school, then orientation, then when we went out with a trainer, and our second part of training (q-fleet which was not so good) and after we got our own truck. then i posted about starting to train new students.
but correct me if I'm wrong but i have not done any recruiting on here. have I? because in order for me to get credit for recruiting someone they have to tell me their full name and birth city.
all i do is answer questions. of what to expect in orientation, training.... -
Hey Carrot Top. I have read a nasty rumor that England now requires trainers to take 2 students with them. Is that true? I am about to go back there after taking some time off and have to go throught the whole training again. If there is 2 students and one trainer that seems like it would be a big safety issue. You have one guy constantly in the second seat and technically should be logging it on line 4 thus not getting the proper rest break prior to driving a full 11. I hope it is just a nasty rumor because I dont want any part of 3 people in a truck.
-
From my personal experience, it depends on the trainer. But this may have changed where a student must spend more time out on the road.
-
In one of the many England posts I have read one person said it was now mandatory for 2 students to be on a truck. Have you not heard the same thing?
-
LOL I feel sorry for those whom have to endure another student. The fellow that was in the truck I was trained on was difficult, fortunately he was on that truck for maybe 4 days.
CR has hit a new low, sounds like trainers are hard to come by. -
Does CR England have you do a physical agility test? If so, what does it consist of ?
-
No to the agility.
At least there wasnt any when I went there. It was stand in line for some 15 minutes, enter room with a nurse, recieve some paperwork for physical / pee test. Hand in said paperwork, enter bathroom fill the cup, return cup, told to wait in hall on other side of hall.
Enter second room, do a range of motion test (head back, touch nose with arms extended). Squat, stand, bend forward, bend side to side. Sit in chair, do a eye test, blood pressure test said that my 145/79 was too high and that he could only give me a one year physical card.
Sent out the door, told they will have results in a week. -
no cre does not require 2 students on a truck. that's up to the trainer. the students can say no.
