I aced the pre test without looking at the book. I've been thru this before. If it wasn't for the lack of recent experience they could throw me the keys right now. Did 2 years clean with prime years ago. My MVR is perfect.

Oh ok. Then you're good then. If you don't mind me asking, what stopped you from going to other schools, like Schneider or Prime?

Prime was my first company sponsored school years ago. Times been rough last couple of months, and england was the only one who would take me. Didn't have the money to pay for a local school. I'm sure I could've found a better situation if I had waited. But no matter the way I wanted to get the ball rolling again asap. And england took me first day I called. Permit test tomorrow then finally I get to get in a truck again lol. Of all the bad that england gets the good thing is they have the shortest commitment out of all the schools at just 9 months vs a year or more with everyone else.

Since its 3 months shorter, how does that compare in overall price (including leftover wage) from others?

    Just personal curiosity.

Prime paid more, but I'm not missing out on much. More than likely I won't even complete the 9 months, one I get 4-5 months 6 tops gonna leave on good terms and just pay what's left on a plan. Already talked to the office and they said that was an option. Just let them know.

This is similar to another thread on Werner... It looks better to any company if you finish the training. It shows you're able to follow through with a commitment.

Now, if you've gone and graduated after 4-5 months, that's a different story.

At the very least though, you should finish the training.

Ya finish the training I will do no doubt. The whole 9 months no if I can get on with another Carrier for double the pay its a no brainer. And again if I leave early it will be on good terms in writing on the Qualcomm.

My phones been off yall. Had to get it payed and was waiting for some money to come in lol

I know it's been a few days, but I'm glad to say.. your boy got his CDL!! :)

Most of this last week they had us getting ready for the DMV test and teaching us how to drive properly such as shifting, turning, city driving, traffic etc..

It's been a hell of a ride over here but glad to say I made it. Can't say that for the rest of my class though. Lost about 25 people total due to testing reasons or background checks. Think we lost 1 for hair follicle from what I heard too.

Not sure what's planned for next week, but seeing as its our final week I guess we'll probably be going over company paperwork and actually sign on with CRE. Not too excited about signing with CRE but definitely excited to know that I'll be getting my foot in the door with this industry. I'll let yall know how Monday goes, we're off for the weekend so time to kick back and relax
