As for other people, I'd say 2 or 3 left right after getting their CDL for other reasons. Definitely not on good terms though seeing as most of them got it and got the quickest greyhound home lol.
I just got home yesterday so I might be out a week or two before I can go back. And not sure if they took the contract away or not cause I had to leave. -
Heh, and pretty sure with cre if you leave in bad terms YOU pay for the bus ride home.

Quick question for you TexasBoy or anyone who can clarify. After you get your CDL, do you then go out with the trainer and AFTER that take another road test issued from the company? Or is there a road test after getting your CDL?
I thought I read that somewhere but can't remember now.
I also saw on CR Englands site that when one is finished with their time with a trainer, they will have to ride team for six months and THEN go solo if they'd like. It also said that one MAY be able to go solo before the six month as a team.
I saw the six month team requirement for CR England on their site for the state of Indiana. -
Other than that, there's no road test involved. Those guys don't work for the DMV.
After the 180 hours is done, they'll put you on teams for dedicated, regional, or national depending on your options.. I've heard of people being able to go solo as a Recovery and Relief driver though so you might want to look into that if you're going. Once I go back and do my 180 I'm going to ask and I'll let you know what they say.
But other than that, it is a 6 month team requirement if you can't get the R&R position.. after that you can choose you're position, finish your last 3 months, then GTFO. If you wantThe Mariachi and Vilhiem Thank this. -
Thanks TexasBoy! That's good to know that once the CDL is in hand, it is time to go with a trainer and no more road tests. The 6 month team requirement wouldn't bother me.
TexasBoy Thanks this. -
I heard that a great deal... From covenant drivers as they talked to me about their orientation and the forced teaming.
Some do love it, but they are far and few between.TexasBoy and The Mariachi Thank this. -
