my time at prime

well i made the trip on the dog . i left on saturday morning and got to springfield on sunday evening. did the same as everybody else ,checked in filled out the packet of papers. interview ,doc visit ,the hole nine yards. it wasnt that bad ,better you have your permit before you go it is much easier on you. Im not going to say that my psd training was easy ,dont think that you can just drive abig truck like you would a car , LOTS of bad habbits are hard to break. you will find that out when you test out. if you are ready to listen and learn great if not dont waste yours or primes time. be ready the pre-trip is alot to take in at first . but if you are willing to do alot of studding and dont be afraid to ask questions. most ofthe prime drivers are willing to help and show you the right way to do it. I have made it thru and now have my cdl. durring my time there i talked to alot of drivers there both lease and company .all of them will give you advise on what to do . I think prime is a good place to work and get your start. As for me trucking is not for me. about the 4th day of psd itwasnt for me. be safe and good luck

 

it wasnt 4 days of psd . i dont know how they say get your cdl in 4days when there is a min. of 75 hours of driving before you can test . As for why trucking is not for me i think it has to do with my trainer and my time on the road. But i could have called my fm and told him i wanted another trainer but just did what had to be done to get though the first part of psd .If you want to know my trainer only like to shower every 3 to 4 days i was out for two and half weeks and only got to shower 4 times and one of those i had to pay for . im not going to bash prime i have talk to other guys that went thru psd the same time some good some bad .
