They have as much tail swing as the reefer trailer I pull since I almost always have it on first hole. The issue is with spreads the pivot point can change on the fly depending on which tire is bearing more weight at any point. Still don’t know why some flatbed companies refuse to install dump valves on their spreads. Helps with backing and you’re also not tearing up your tires during tight turns and sharp backing maneuvers.

There's somthing about a clean nice piece of equipment that attracts idiots that seem to hone in it with a seek and destroy mission .
A couple years ago I payed off my tractor and sure as hell 2 days later one metropolitans finest backed into it at a loading dock in Pennsylvania. -
Sold my trailer 2 years into my career because the loading dock guys always wanted to play demo derby inside the trailers. Not worth it anymore. No pride in work on this new gen of drivers.
Vampire, D.Tibbitt, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this. -

After seeing first hand the ability or lack of and getting some answers from drivers that were recently licensed about thier training, while doing thier initial interview/assessment it’s surprising more people aren’t on here asking about this.
Vampire Thanks this.
