My truck got booted and towed

I highly doubt they will toss you. Being tired is hard tho I cant help wondering why you parked at Walmart instead of the reeiver. Usually the receiver is more appreciative if you show up early and ask if you can take your ten on their property. When in doubt contact a manager of the property.

Yet what puzzles me about this is. You were aslepp in the truck when it got towed. Does this mean you were awakened when the tow truck driver came into the truck?

 

You didn't get whiplash if you were in the truck while it was towed did you?

 

Please tell me this is a mega company

 

Why wouldn't you have paid on the spot or had your mega company pay to have the boot removed versus letting them tow it while you were present with the truck? Something is missing.....

 

Why didn't you call your company the moment you knew you had a problem?

My response to the tow truck driver/cops would be "my company is arranging a tow truck now, it will be here shortly".

Or just move the truck - ask the cops to escort you to safe/legal parking and restart your dot break. I think the company would prefer that over a five grand tow bill.

 

Either way $5K is criminal....... that’s extortion . And I can’t believe a Maga is going to pay that.
