I think my own hands are getting fed up with working out in the cold.

I’ve put off some stuff myself until warmer days.

I’ve seen your method of covering the hood area of a truck and using a heat source underneath to get them warm enough to start on tv shows from up North.

    xsetra Thanks this.

Shucks man. Global warming at its finest. Just unscrew the oil plug a tiny bit so it barely drips ....then set oil on fire.

Yes any cold weather is going to put any battery that's self life is nearly done to the test if you can get some one to jump start it, or get some new batteries make sure the grade of oil your using is suitable to the colder starts as this also helps reduce engine wear. If your truck has an AC plug to keep the head warm make sure you plug that in if your going to be switching the engine off for long periods of time in the cold. Otherwise give it a run every few hours also make sure you put some additives in the diesel to stop if from gelling up otherwise you'll have to get one of those large gas heaters they use to dry wet carpets to run under your fuel tank to warm up the diesel.
