My trucking journey

Trans Am has no training program. You go to orientation for 5-7 days and you get assigned a truck and a load.

 

Just applied for Wiley Sanders Truck Lines.

 

I will know Monday whether I’m in the hiring area. The furthest south they hire according to the recruiter is Melbourne Florida.

 

Just supplied over at paper transport. A.k.a. PTI I’m evaluating all options and will go with what’s best for my family.

 

Applied to JNJ transport.

 

Just want to give a big shout out to @lual and @Chinatown. They are two people who have helped me without even needing me asking them to.

I think I am going to go to Rowland transportation. Supposedly time out with a trainer is six weeks. They have a pretty strict backing test, so I’m going to ask my fellow instructors at Sage to make sure that I can back with confidence.

 

I will add that the Director of safety over there is one awesome individual who is not afraid to tell the truth about stuff and not sugarcoat stuff which is what I need at this point.

 

It’s actually Rowland Transportation out of Dade city.

 

that’s the one. I will say this anytime I have had questions, the safety Director has always answered them honestly. When I went up there, he made 30 minutes available for me out of his busy day and that showed me the humanity in the company.
