But it tells me even when I am bobtailing!

I did not see a forum for truck repairs. I hope it is ok to post here. Maybe it could go in the Volvo forum but it may no be just a Volvo specific problem.

    Has anyone had this problem?

    ...so close it?
Is your truck trying to nicely tell you your fly is down? I dunno....

Mine did that. Turns out one of my blinker lights wasn't working. Don't know if that's your issue or not.

The Volvo I run would show me that my running lights on the truck had an issue when I first turned the lights on and than the message would go away. It took me a couple of days to catch it and it was the license plate lamp that caused it due to corrosion.

All the lights on the truck are working. And so far every trailer I have hooked to as well...

No I have not changed any to LED.

I will check the rear license plate lamp on the truck. I don't always check it daily since I don't have a rear plate.

THe confusing part is that it says a "trailer circuit" even when there is no trailer connected.

had the the same thing but with a trailer.. it was a fuse,, its labeled on your fuse panel.. theres a few, 20 amp i beleive.. it's might worth a try

the plug in for the tractor tail lights is another place to look un plug it clean if needed plug back in, had some bad wiring there.. easy fix

The fuse replaced on the dash on mine was cased in metal.. can't see inside if its bad, it's the same as the plastic, where you can see if it's burnt, what can cause it is a surge when hooking up pigtail from tractor to trailer with flashers and lights on, good luck!
