As of a couple years ago freightliner was using less than 2 dozen keys.
I'm pretty sure that you can get unique ignition and door keys and locks if you want to pay a little extra. Or better yet, wire in a kill switch hidden somewhere on the truck. It can be as simple as a 12v toggle switch if you know what wire to put it in.Lostkeys and JolliRoger Thank this. -

Honestly and with all sincerity, I would just leave this alone and chalked it up to good luck. Nobody messed with your stuff inside the truck, in most cases they probably would’ve had it towed costing you at least $1200 if not more. Not to mention the explaining you would’ve had to do. Just forget about it and Move on…

At least they didn’t move it with the bulldozer or excavator.
JoeyJunk and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
and you Probabaly don’t have to cage the brakes to move it.
The parking brakes are not that strong .
On the I owned , I always added parking brakes on both drive axles .
I’ve done it before with cars.
We were paving a dirt parking lot at a factory and there was one car that some dummy parked in the lot ignoring all the signs and cones and ropes
we had a 12 man crew, lots of equipment and several truckloads of hot asphalt waiting .
we hooked a rope to it and used the bobcat to drag the car out of the way .OldeSkool and feldsforever Thank this. -
SIMPLE...Remove fuse/breaker that goes to engine ECM and that will not allow it to be cranked!!!
