I have the N14 red top. My ac compressor bracket broke, and i replaced it. Its the square compressor being held by the 4 bolts on square plate and 2 other bolts attaching plate to mounting bracket. How do i tension the belt tight enough so it can engage the AC clutch? there's another bracket in back of the compressor that attach to the mounting bracket but not sure what its use for

I would assume there is a belt tensioner pulley that you need to release the tension on with say a 1/2" breaker bar or ratchet. Been twenty years since I have had an N14. Maybe this video of the ISX will help?

Ok, you realize that bracket is broken and running completely crooked, right? Looks like you need a new base bracket and compressor mounting bracket. Don't mess around, because that bolts to the front cover and you could damage it too which is going to make this even more expensive to repair.

The compressor pivots with the bracket in your picture. You have to leave the lower two bolts a little loose. Then it should have a jack screw or a slotted adjustment bracket. If it is not easy to understand maybe something is missing. A couple more pictures please.
spsauerland Thanks this. -
The srrqp in tgw pics is what pivoting the compressor. There's a smaller slot bracket piece in back of compressor but its only being held in by a bolt and nut. Theres no way to pivot compressor. What could i be missing?

The adjustment rod is the same as the alternator. Cheaper if you buy it as the alternator rod than the A/C rod.
Good luck. -
