No ideas here. But I am very curious to hear what problem you discover.
-
Mine only quit one time and that was when I had a coolant hose leaking. It started, then I walked away and it quit. Filled it up, replaced hose and everything was fine.
So, check your water level and your oil level-that is what will shut the engine down. If those are fine, then you have to have someone check sensors, and also make sure you have good oil pressure. -
thank you for the reply i kinda found it if i wiggle the wiring harness it dies now i just have to find that one wire
-
There should be one wire that runs from the batteries up to the ecm. it might be that one.

not for sure yet but it has not had any problems for a day and a half. ran new wire from ecm to fuel silenoid. thank you to everybody that replied.

if you can wiggle the wiring harness from the batteries to the ecm and it dies you have a problem with the injctor harness. this harness also has two fuses on it you will want to make sure they are in good shape. check your battery box at the negative terminal and the positive wires at the circuit breaker. just a bit of a warning here if this is your problem it could burn out your ecm from low voltage. your fuel shut off runs off the sensor harness and can cause this problem also, but check that your fuse or circuit breaker in the fuse panel is also in good shape. do yourself a favor and DO NOT poke a hole into you wiring harness with a test probe, you either need to go to a connector or the source for the power or circuit. you would be better off getting a multi-meter and testing ohms or resistance in the wire or circuit. go to a cummins shop and get a celect wiring harness chart. it will show you everything you need for checking wiring harnesses on the n-14 celect. if you have a celect plus you will need the one for it. be careful about cutting and splicing a ecm form cummins is a wee bit over 3500.00 by now, although I have been seeing them cheaper online. a lot of times on your tps and potemceomhator on the foot feed start to go bad you will lose throttle response. I have dealt with a few of these p[roblems myself, so good luck
