Is there anyway to by pass the fuel so it dosnt get so hot? . My fuel tank gets way to hot to even touch with my cummins! I would imagine a cold supply of fuel would equal more hp and milage!

Thats just the way they are and in the winter you wont have to worry about gelling up.

fuel lubricates and cools injectors andinjection pump pump returns 6-8 times the amount of fuek it burns to do that. some of these newer engines might be different but that is diesel 101

I used to have a Western Star with a first generation 500 Hp Detroit (DDEC3) that ran hot. I put a fuel cooler on it and it helped the mileage in summer. Any automotive parts store has fluid coolers with 12V fans that'll work. A good 4WD parts place will have good fluid coolers.

Before you spend the money on it make sure you don't just have a tank heater with a cutoff valve that's hard to locate..

Mine is the same way. It gets too hot to touch or lean against and if I drive in the rain there's steam rising off it in the summer time...I've got just a 90 gallon tank. Thought about plumbing in a cooler somewhere with a way to bypass it for the winter.
