Ok, so here’s a nice stupid question. Which port do I drain the oil from? The 1/2 drive on the drivers side? Because it’s on mighty tight. The 1/4 on the drivers side? Or the port on the exhaust side?

The one that's the lowest part of the pan at the bottom
AModelCat and HopeOverMope Thank this. -
The one in the top picture just above the blue bucket. The big one.
And you better have an extra pail real handy or you are going to have a big mess. You are going to drain over 10 gallons. I would suggest you go to Wal-Mart and but a cheap cooler with at least a 44 quarry capacity. Handles on each side for lifting, and drain plug on one end for draining the oil back into jugs after you put new oil in the engine.snowman_w900, AModelCat and HopeOverMope Thank this. -
Hindsight indeed. The coolers are a good ideaLast edited: Sep 4, 2018

Your not alone, getting up early in the morning to pull the pan off my N14. Mine rusted out and seeping through 3 or 4 spots.
Sounds like I will be able to look up inside to check out my nozzles while I'm at it.
Good luck to ya.HopeOverMope Thanks this. -
Yessir back to ya. Seems like now I know, when having the pan off is a great time to change $11 nozzles since with the filters off everything is more in reach.

Here’s the torque order if you didn’t have it already

Ok so, part number 3082522 superceedes to 4058947 piston cooling nozzle but the new ones don’t really fit. Any reason why the old ones slide in and out fine but the new ones get stuck about half way and won’t go in?

Got the 6 nozzles in. For someone doing this later after reading this, it helps to put vegetable oil around the the nozzle, since the o rings need it anyway. Then you put them in place and get them started, the you’ll need something like the back end of a big enough wrench to tap them in.
Oil pan is next.Goodysnap Thanks this.
