I called Missouri Transmission and Gear, talked to “Mike”. Mike says it will speed up everything 25%. Mike says flipping those gears around, makes the transmission an overdrive. Mike says, no need to buy any new or additional gears. Mike says $1,000-$1,200, for best case scenario. Mike also says that my RTX14609P can easily be made into a 13 speed. I’m pretty sure Eaton says, no or does not recommend this. I’m not sure what to think about Mike.
N14 or C15 or ??? for good power and MPG?

Why you want to swap your treat ends ? 2.90s are perfect for fuel mileage.
Does it going to take your an extra minute going up mountain without any doubt but who cares right once at the top of that mountain you gonna crawl down who cares being there 10 early or not
What's speed you run and what your ROM's at? -
C15 Sucks ### and so does the N14, Old Technically Obsolete Injection System very similar to your Series 60 11L... I would soup up your 11L, that is a rock hard engine. If someone is trying to get you to do the swap, then chances are they want that old 11L for themselves. Visit or Call Pittsburg Power, cause they have the ultimate recipe for that engine.

If you wanted to run at around 60 mph its amazing how much your fuel economy will improve. The company I worked for gave me a Freighliner that was powered with a 515 detroit motor that thing worked exceptionally well even up the mountain ranges, with a 13 speed gear shift. It was speed limited to only 70 mph which was plenty fast for me. Other things can improve your fuel economy while not compromising on power includes regular cleaning of your air filter, it is amazing how much dust can build up in those filters and inhibit your power and economy.Phantom307 Thanks this.

Have you ever driven a C15 or an N14? I would pay double for either of them than any new engine currently available. And I currently have 1 of each. Cat has more power, Cummins is dependable. N14 has 1,600,000 miles on it too…. Just rebuilt the Cat last yearsinglescrewshaker Thanks this.
