I will check into the cement companies you listed. I am not opposed to daycab/local work but I would like to do OTR for a while. If I ran across a local job that paid well, then yeah I would jump on it for sure.
The companies that run out of Savannah, do you have to live in that area to work for them? I am a long ways from there and don't plan on moving.

Driver (to be), there is a heck of a lot of security in working for a company the size of Schneider. The arse kissin and favoritism that goes on at some of these small/mid (superior size) sized trucking companies can drive a person nuts. At Schneider you are a driver on the board and you get the next load - it doesn't get pulled from you and slipped to Donny the Dispatch Sucker. The dispatch shenanigans at some of these smaller joints is sickening.JahB Thanks this. -
If you want to work out of Savannah or Jesup ga Mckenzie has terminals there.

Got cleared by the safety department with Superior Carriers and went and took the driving evaluation this morning. Did really well on it. The assistant terminal manager is suppose to go ahead and start the paperwork to get me on.
Hoping this all goes through as it has been 3 weeks already since I graduated. I will keep these other companies posted in here on my list though as a "just in case". -
