A guy I know that use to work there told them point blank if I don’t get home on Friday I’m not coming in on Monday and he meant it cause he does the same thing where I work.
1stRoadHammer and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
I’m almost done with my onboarding -
I literally just found this website…
I'm understanding they recently revamped a #### ton of their “driver relations” policies -
anybody know ??? I don’t care if you are a company driver, lease purchase, or o/o on this website still employed by Napa?
I want to know if YOU have you actually noticed anything positive change???
I’m now sitting on the fence, wondering IF I should cut fence???Last edited: Oct 24, 2024

QUESTION ABOUT NAPA TRANSPORTATION LEASE PURCHASE PROGRAM:
I’m considering in roughly 6 to 12 months, to enter Napa’s Lease Purchase Program, as I’m currently finishing my company driver onboarding..
I figured I’d start with the company driver position to learn their freight system, company atmosphere, policies (good and bad) before I tried buying a truck with these guys…
Alternatively, my Plan B is that I’m also considering buying a pre-emission (FACTORY NONE DEF SYSTEM) truck and then leasing it on BEFORE THEY CHANGE THERE REQUIREMENTS for sighing on to them…
So I’m trying to get a feel of which Avenue would be more sane and profitable in this current turbulent economy in the long term, as I’m trying to be looking down the road in the next 1 to 5 years???
1) has anybody ever actually “successfully” completed the program??
2) IF SO, how long did it take??
3) Approximately, how much are the payments?
4) how are they doing the escrow, and other deductions?
5) do they have a way to offer health insurance, or any other benefits?
ALSO…
i understand that NAPA has a broker service department, HAS ANYONE HERE EVER USED NAPA’s BROKER SERVICE???
What’s your thoughts about the broker department???
Lastly..
What would you say would be better??
Leasing one of Napa’s trucks OR obtaining conventional financing from my credit union and buying “outright” and leasing it on, OR buying a truck outright, and go through the process of obtaining my base plate and operating authority and then utilizing the brokerage???
I realize that I might be looking a little on the smaller side of things out in the distance, and I’m doing this because I’m not trying to get ahead of myself, I’m trying to make CALCULATED DECISIONS for the long term…
thank you everyone, in advance… -
Im still employed with Napa been here since 2016 lease 3 truck from them finish 2 and still paying on the 3rd one..
Yes they change a lot of things they’re not like they used to.. don’t get me wrong tho they’re still a good company.. you still can survive..
About the lease tho if you’re going to do it I will advise you to go with a 1 year or 2 year lease -

I would say try the lease and have some money incase anything happens you can pay off the truck
