Lol, there is a TMC driver in my area that has been parking his truck everywhere he can fit it and getting run off. I'm pretty sure I know which apartments he lives in because that's where I first started seeing it. Just recently I saw them running him off from Office Max.
Poor guy just wants to stuff his three story long truck somewhere to go home for a few hours.
The parking spot I pay for is 16 miles from my house. It was the closest spot I could buy and I still have to drive on a truck restricted road to get there. I'm pretty sure the no truck sign means to thru trucks, but I'm not looking forward to the day ol smokey tells me otherwise.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Any of those you listed is as good as the next. Not gonna be a whole lot of difference, just the color of the truck. Realistically, all 5 of those will average 2200-2300 miles per week, no matter what the recruiter says. So, pick the one with the highest cpm, get some experience, then move on to greener pastures.
ny2tn and 406onthego Thank this. -
I haul chemicals in tanks.
If your interest is in flatbed. Then you should go for that. Good skill set to have.
Good money down the road in OD Heavy Haul & such, I read. -
Just for the love of god stay away from CR England!!!! do not drink the kool-aid ... I've been told to stay away from Swift & JB hunt as well.
Puppage, dog-c, DrtyDiesel and 1 other person Thank this. -
Amazing the votes for Schnieder, they are a bottom feeder. I was with Roehl for 3 years and they are a mid-tier large carrier. I would go TMC, Maverick or Roehl if you have to go OTR.

Schneider is hit or miss on the truckload side from what I have seen on the road. Some love them, including some of the lease drivers. But I have not seen much bad ever posted about their bulk division, and it is a rather large group now, really got larger in the past 8 years. Many drivers consider any truckload company with more than 1500 trucks as bottom feeders. I rather look at every company on an individual basis.
Heck, even swift has some very good paying dedicated fleets in some areas. With happy drivers making good money, and home allot more than an OTR driver.icsheeple Thanks this. -
I've known numerous drivers that have worked for Schneider and have heard plenty of detailed information.
