I recently dropped the card I was using for the past several years and got NASTC

Discounts are pretty good but I also just downloaded the Mudflap app and was comparing these two
Some places NASTC was less. Others Mudflap was less
That’s $350 fee for NASTC will be given back many many times over with the savings
I personally will run both of these and use whichever one is best for that particular location

Mudflap has less locations but seems to be growing quickly and again. It’s free and if you link a points type credit card for payment then you gain some there also

    Question

My NASTC card has all my needed info in a file that’s emailed to me such as miles. Load. Truck number etc

Does Mudflap do the same or is that something I would have to keep track of
Haven’t used Mudflap yet as I just downloaded the app

You will have to keep track of it.

On this FTs card this guy talks about he claims he gets $0.80 or whatever discounts
Has anyone used this card ?
Is he stating prices before taxes or ?
According to his post it would seem that this is the best card for discount

Mudflap will have a report you can email to yourself and print with
    location
    date
    Gallons
    Price
    Total

You need to keep your own mileage load #
You enter your dot and truck number and name in the app itself

TCS , I might give a look at NASTC since I’m running mainly the northeast.

A cost plus card will typically give the best discounts. NASTC, TCS etc are cost plus. I have TCS because of the ease of signup, but it sucks that it’s not credit based. In some comparisons I’ve done, FleetOne Edge has similar discounts plus it’s credit based, so I’m waiting for my cards to arrive to try them out. Mudflap doesn’t have any locations where I run, but their pricing in other areas is great. If you pull Landstar loads, their savings plus card is about .05 cheaper than NASTC and TCS, but you have to pull Landstar loads to load the card.

I looked at mud flap but they said they'll give you an extra $0.02 a gallon off but you have to link your bank account to them.

Is that safe to do that?

You could open a account and only have enough to fund your fuel transactions. That’s what I did when using nastc.

I have always paid cash for fuel, and fueled at the mom and pop stops. I looked at mudflap, however the area that I run I was getting a better price with cash. With the rising fuel prices I contacted Nactc, we went over comparisons between Nastc and where I was fueling and I saw the opportunity for some good fuel savings. So about 3 weeks ago I joined Nastc. In 3 weeks I saved over $272, so I am pleased with Nastc.
