If you are Canadian, you would have to live with the rules all Canadians have to when they cross the border. People from down here have rules they must abide by up there too. Ethnicity doesn't have anything to do with it.

KMac is mostly correct, look up Jay Treaty...If you can prove you're 50%> Native American, you can work & live in either the U.S. or Canada...You'll need to get a valid "Band Card" or other proof of blood lineage from your US or CA recognized tribe, basically it's up to you to prove it and many can't... Many of the buildings in NYC have been built by Native American steel workers, from both CA & US, still are.....Many NAI travel from Montreal to work all week in NYC and then go home on the weekends....They've been doing it for years...

    Don't blame you
Canada treats natives even worse than the US does.

I've been working on getting mine. I have all documents now, the blood quantum letter from Aboriginal affairs genealogy department took a while. Now I have to make an appointment at USCIS in the states to start the process. I'm guessing once I'm in and an owner operator I can inter state and still cross borders as usual.

Around here being Native gives you an edge to getting hired for jobs before any other ethnicity since a lot of companies are Aboriginal owned. They get treated pretty dang good where I live anyways.
