I have been with navajo over 3 years I left them last aug....had a brand new T660 ,was running 3000 plus miles a week on elog.I left cuz I couldn't ever get hometime. Its what u make of it at navajo. Yes there is bad and good things there but it just seem to get worse everyday I was there.swift and navajo are connected cuz the girl on the door (beckey digby) is on the board of dir. At swift. Long story short I found out as of jan 1 they up there pier dem rate from 5cent too. 13.5 cent now. And trks are cut back too 65-62 mph now instead of 68mph. And remember to (cya) on the qualcomm always at navajo..... and u want your FM to be out of the denver office. That's where u will make your most miles. Just a few tips on anyone who wants to join navajo. Hope this helps a little .

most people who respond are usually haters or are disgruntaled ex-employees. me is stilll work there...but am going to leave.. i knew it wasnt a good job when i 1st got out of orientation. they cover mostly the punishments they are going to do to you, more than what to do and expect from the company. iam going to just tell you everything i know so you can make an educated decision as to whether you think you really want to go there...1st COMPANY DOESNT have prepass. they say they dont qualify...but i called the prepass company(the one they keep talking about on road dog radion on sirris), the lady called me back 3 weeks later and stated that NAVAJO DOES qualify for prepass, but chooses NOT to participate...SO you have to go into EVERY scale. and with the condition of their trailers...YOUR CSA2010 POINTS go up...trust me! i know. 2nd AND MOST IMPORTANT! most companies give a 3-5 cent PER-DIEM, not here! This company gives .19cents per mile with (get this) .18 cents per-diem...SAVE ANY AND ALL RECIEPTS!!! come tax time you ARE going to take it in the rearend....my 1st year i owed FEDERAL TAXES of $ 3642.18, yes you read that right. because of the per-diem. thank the lord i save my reciepts. and still after my reciepts (food, clothes, glove, entertainment..ect) i still owed government $142.96. Next is the DRIVER MANAGERS...if you like to be talked to like a punk. and love SARCASM, this is your place. if you come and get Cindy, Tilo, Yakov, Bob, Donnie,Dino. PA-LEEEASE ! ARE GOING TO SCREEM. and if you do dont do it to them...its so bad that 2 years ago, they had piss off a driver so bad (truth, not trucker story), that he went in terminal with a gun to kill yes you read that right GUN, to shoot Dino, a fight broke out and the driver got shot with his own gun....SARCASM, hmmm cindy is always premenopalsal...or bi-polar...she is constantly talking down to you. NEXT IS Navajo will try and tell you that they are a NO FORCED DISPATCH company...straight out lying to your face! Just try,try and say no to a load...they will threaten your employment with them. THEN there is their equipment. the trucks they are replacing with cookie cut-out stripped out Kenworth T-660's, no top bunk and only 1, yes 1 shelf/closet to put your gear. The trucks are governed at 65mph. but when you go into the shop, they turn down your truck to 62mph.they tell you it will come back up to65 in about 250 mi...LIE more like 5000mi. that's if you dont idle the truck. The trailers, those 2 they are replacing. BUT if you get a 53 or 54 series (trailer number) trailer, you WILL have ABS problems...dont work. and when you get DOT inspected you get CSA points for brakes...then this guy wont replace tires...they want pictures of everything..i had a trailer with tread separation. told breakdown, told me to get it, "LOOKED AT", THEN WAS TOLD"if you can stick a screw driver head under tread then its tread sep. if all you see is cracks at tread line...and you can only put a partial screw driver head under...well tire is still good"! try that explanation in California. THEN P.O.'S they want you to come up "out of pocket" to get things like oil anti-freeze ect" but then dont want to give you the P.O., you have to ask and ask for it to get it. unbelieveable. TOLLS have to be included in that one, because the only toll pass they have is the I-PASS other than that you are "out of pocket" and chasing reimbursments. NOW they are going to a SWIFT-STYLE fueling program....they want you to go where they say to fuel, most companies say fuel at ANY pilot,flying-j or loves. ect. but here, they want you to go out of route to get 50 gallons and then get back on route so you can go another 200 mi then get another 75 gallons then go 300 mi then fill up. then want to hold you to thier tight delivery times. and if you are late they want to give you a service failure. this company. if you NEED a job, come here. but can look around and find something better i suggest it. NAVAJO is a bottom feeding company that has 98% turnover rate... and for good reason. they dont care about you. you are a truck number. and you can and will be replaced. heck they'll tell you that. just turn down a load. OH, i almost forgot. WHEN THEY PUT YOUR TRUCK IN THE SHOP FOR A "B" SERVICE, they search it....yeah, search it, EVERYTHING,from your undies to your food to EVERYTHING. BE PREPARED FOR THAT.. they say "its their truck and can perfectly within their right to search it"... SO BE FORWARNED before you make the decision to get here. SO YOU SAY WHY AM I STILL HERE? didnt want to bring childsupport payments and drama to my new company. i just finished my pay off. so iame gone...love to stay and chat but i got to go....jabbs

you havent turned down a load then as they will threaten your employmeht with them. i'am on my way out of here..put up with the BS to long. plus all the changes this place has gone from bad to worse...they want to turn it into a training company so that the trainees have to atleast stay with them for a year...instead of seasoned vets who know bs when they read it. i dont turn down many loads, or argumentative...but the sarcasm and crapy trailers...too much to put with especially with CSA2010 wanting to put points on you like snow falling on the field.

Oh, was sitting thinking and forgot somethings. 1st Per Diem, just so you can get a glimpse of the pay...i keep all my payroll records. 4160 miles run... Gross $976.91 take home 1187.00 but keep in mind virtually NO taxes taken out... look at gross...gross tells you the story on how low Navajo wants to pay. 3060 miles run, gross $657.31 net $789.86....Oh and i am a company driver...Navajo offers a limited lease program with $9000.00 down. yeah... Don Digby is one tight fisted twisted fat man. Then TAX TIME remember if you come to NAVAJO please please save your reciepts....because i found out the hard way the 1st year i was here.. owed the IRS over 3000.00... then you might say...dahhh why did you stay so long...my answer is i had child support... didnt want to bring that drama to another company. When you leave Navajo you get an instant raise...doesnt matter what company you go to...One other thing....company DOES have some decent people. like Nathan and George in the shop... they are knowlegeable and nice. and do their best to get you out and back on the road. just hate that they are made to search your truck everytime you come in, and that they are made to turn your truck down to 62 on EVERY "B" service.. good luck if you decide this is for you...

Navajo will tell you that they arent forced dispatch...but you cant turn down loads. they will just put it on your truck. if you dont run it they wil say tht they can fire you because of "refusal" or Abandoned load... and totally try and destroy your DAC. look iam not a hater, not disgruntaled just a person who WILL school you on Navajo....I had Tilo tell me that he "doesnt repower/relay loads" and expected me to log off the qual com and drive the last 130 mi illegal....true story....but everyone has a story like that. plus expect that when your in the rack sleeping, that's when the messages come. and they expect you to get up and answer them. if you dont accept or turn down your preplan by 2pm...it's yours... touch @#*&....

The Blue eyed indian on the door is Don Digbys daughter, she was in a play back in the mid 70's. they took the picture and kept it...thus the pic on the truck..."fast forward to today"! she's still 5'4" and has ate her way to about 425lbs so yeah go on and do her.....some guys like REALLY big girls.
