Not a good anology as 5 different companies have dropped trailers on that onramp. I can give my opinion on the company as i work there. Its a job with no micromanagement of the driver's. There are issues here but they are about the same as other places. Trucks do 68,electronic logs. 30 percent apu trucks now. Pay is on the low side. Forced per diem. I get around 3000 to 3200 a week on miles we usually haul meat products. Not much produce at all. Mostly kw 660s or 700s. Just starting to get 680s integrated into fleet. Mid sized company with 3 main terminals. Denver, phoenix, and jackson tn.

They are not the only company that does it at all. And im pretty sure its legal as they do have lawyers on staff to advise of course. I know its an option at some places too.theres just no choice here.

I work there now, but not as a driver.
65 on the floor for solo drivers, 67 on the floor for some senior drivers and for teams. You get up to 3 MPH extra on the cruise IF you meet the idle time requirements to get the "driver rewards"... regens count against you on this system. Some of the trucks do have APUs.. as a new hire, don't expect to get one.
Quality of drivers I've seen... varies. The company has steering wheel holders and drivers alike. Some are good, some are mediocre, some are just plain bad.
When this company first came into the radar as a prospective employer, I looked at the website and, out of curiosity, looked at what they paid their drivers. I wouldn't trade off the percentage of gross to the truck I received when I was OTR, let's just leave it at that.
T660 is the mainstay of the fleet... the T700, T680, PornStar, and VNL640 can be found, as well... also, some T800s for the "heavy" division hauling Rocky Mountain doubles. Every now and then, you might see a W900L or Pete 379 pulling one of our trailers and with the Navajo name on the side of it... don't get your hopes up for getting assigned one of those trucks... those belong to agents... some agents put their name on the side, some just put the Navajo livery on there (typically, minus the blue-eyed "Indian").
I don't know how they are to drive for.. never drove for them, don't really talk to the drivers about how it is driving for them. Never really had any interest in asking about it, nor was I interested in the inevitable stories about how they're all retired Navy SEALs, or how they made six figures annually in whatever they did before they started driving trucks, etc. Highway drivers really aren't all that interesting to me, period.
Some of the drivers really seem to like this company, some... not so much. Pretty standard fare for a trucking company.
One thing which I do think is pretty neat and which I don't believe is normal practice for trucking companies is that they'll let drivers take the 15 passenger van out... I think for a fee of $10 or so... although it doesn't really matter... any driver can ask me for restaurants and other places worth checking out, and I'll tell them, but they'll still just go to Wal Mart then pick up a pizza or a boatload of greasy Chinese food on their way back... I know if I were stuck in a terminal for 34, I'd want to go out and find something interesting.. but that's just me. Highway drivers seem more interested in the driver's lounge than any other part of the entire city of Denver (plus the whole metro area).
Can't really tell you anything else which will be of any use. -

Thanks for the pointer, but I think I've been doing this long enough to judge for myself.
