Thank you, I'm thinking she does have some bad days ahead, karma as well. And here's a little tidbit about this beacon of humanity that should offend you all:
I never realized that there were handicap parking spaces for big rigs until Trainer showed me her handicap tag that she uses whenever she pulls into a truck stop that has only blindside backing available. Problem is, she is NOT handicapped, she stole the tag from her handicapped aunt who lives in Nevada. This, too, I reported to the VP of Navajo, and she could not have cared less. I decided to take the tag with me while being kicked out of her cab. Funny, she hasn't asked for it back yet? I suppose Nevada would probably like to have it back tho, huh?
This is the type of character Navajo wants as an employee. That in and of itself is reason enough for me not to want to work for them!
Navajo Express has just abandoned this trainee in a tiny town 1500 miles from home!

Wow ! I agree with everyone I think this is the lowest slithering out from under a rock kind of thing a trucking company could do to someone. JustPj I have been following this thread and I realize you have next to no money so I don't know if this will help. There is a company called Bellair Airporter that runs from Cle Ellum to Ellensberg and Yakima in the East and to Seattle in the west. I looked up the fare and it is $7.00 to Ellensberg where you could connect with Greyhound. They don't go to the Greyhound but they do go to Central Washington University and the Quality Inn. Ellensberg also has a county transit called Link Transit that would perhaps connect you with the Greyhound Depot. You do have to book the reservation on line and I will give you the link if it helps. http://www.airporter.com/ Again I don't know if that helps you but I will keep you in prayer. There needs to be a law against this kind of stuff.

Very cool that you brought up that issue, tow614. As I've repeated, my story is hard to swallow and I, too, would be thinking scam. No, I should have started out by just saying I do not want money, the thought of asking strangers for handouts makes me uncomfortable. What I am hoping for is a ride should anyone be coming thru this way and heading to Denver. I would be happy to buy meals and such for the driver, I do have enough money to cover that until back home, and it looks like I'll be staying here for another day or two if my sister does come get me. I'm not good at asking for favors, and this is a doozy!
-
Well if you can get your sister to come and rescue you then that is really what it is, This is not asking for a handout, you are in trouble and should be helped, that is what Your fellow man is all about, we all need a little help every now and then, you can certainly take a hand out and when you get the chance you can help someone when they need the help, It would be the thing to do. Take Care Keep us up on what you get figured out!

Navajo has been a scumbag company for a long time. This does not surprise me. To the op I wish I could help but I'm stuck here. Give GTI a call when you get back to Denver, they do train. And please keep us updated.
Lonesome, markdm4805 and JustPj Thank this. -
No problem JustPJ I knew there had to be something running through there. Get home safe and as others have said please let everyone know how you are doing and that you are safe.

RizenPhoenix I had heard that they are a screwed up company to work for but I just never thought any company would be this low. You would have thought at least that driver could have gone the extra 20 mi and dropped her in Ellensburg. (Or preferably home.) The lowest of the low was mailing her paycheck instead of putting it on the Comdata card. They new exactly what they were doing. Sadly it is legal because they tendered her last check to her. Having driven charter buses I can say there were times when an emergency unplanned hotel was needed and my company was able to whip out a card or use CLC to get me a room. That is what this company should have done for her and then figured out how to get her home.
thebennyman and bullhaulerswife Thank this.
