Another option would be to see if they have a Salvation Army rep in that area. They would help with the costs of the bus ticket and probably the motel room once you explain your situation to them.
i will keep you in my prayers until you let everyone know you are home safely.JustPj, 123456, Lux Prometheus and 5 others Thank this. -
WOW! I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. Your clear writing style with proper use of grammar and excellent spelling skills give your accounts of the issue a high level of credibility.

Does that mean if she didn't sound educated then she must be lieing? ..:smt102thebennyman Thanks this.

Again, I thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. As of right now, my sister Jackie is planning on coming out, leaving Denver this afternoon. I'm still looking for help in getting closer to Denver so she doesn't have to drive all the way out here. She's having to take time off work.
Iwas unable to find a place to store my things. Cle Elum has two storage facilities, but their units are too large and expensive, especially not knowing when I'd be able to return.
Much love out to the entire Community!!The Challenger, drozzer69, bullhaulerswife and 4 others Thank this. -
Not at all. Nothing could be further from the truth. I do not think there is a correlation between spelling skills and honesty. I've read many postings in this section where the OP was unable to articulate the issue at hand other than to say "stay away from company xyz". I tend to dismiss those types of threads because they lack substance.

Glad to here that you seem to have getting home figured out. Keep us all posted. If you like driving don't give up on your dream, there are companies out their that don't do this. For one I know Knight would never do this to a driver. They would bring you to a terminal, fire you, then put you on Greyhound and even UPS your extra stuff home for you(I know because I've seen it happen). It's just common human decency which your former employer seems to lack. Knight is what it is a mega carrier/starter company but they are better then the absolute bottom feeders and not so bad a place to get some experience. So if your still interested in driving give them a look see when you get home.JustPj and markdm4805 Thank this.

Good info, and yes, I am not giving up on this career. After all, look at the quality of truckers just on this board! And in fact, that's how I've spent the morning, looking for another company that might be able to bring me to Monday Orientation. Now wouldn't that just solve most of my problems. I had spoken with Gordon a while back but unfortunately, they were inundated with trainees at the time. Dave the recruiter told me to give him a shout after six months. I emailed him and asked that he consider bringing me into orientation as I have 4 months experience and lots of motivation! I didn't go into detail, just told him where I was and that Navajo and I had a parting of the ways.
Now I'm wondering what kind of b.s. Navajo is going to put on my spotless DAC report?
And still, anyone willing to get me further east, now accepting applications!
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Justpj,
Four and half years ago, my trainer left me in Kingman AZ after I called cops on him. Luckily I was able to fly out in small puddle jumper to Las Vegas and fly home. Take my advice and never give up. Start calling companies and one will accept you. From what it looks like, you did nothing wrong. At least you didnt abandon a truck so Navajo cant ding you for that. I would order a copy as soon as you get home.
