You might talk to the people running the motel you are staying at about your things. Maybe they could hold them for a set amount of time until you can wire/send them some money for storage and shipping. You never know unless you ask. The worst they can do is say no.
Navajo Express has just abandoned this trainee in a tiny town 1500 miles from home!

That a company would stoop this low should surprise me, but it doesn't. Whatever happens, keep us updated. Praying for a positive outcome to this.Leftlane101 Thanks this. -
Thank you, KH, it's nice to know I'm not the only one that has gone thru this. Can you tell us what company you worked for at the things? That is the same thing that happened to me, I was off the truck because I called the police. Who knows what should've happened had I been without a working cell phone?
UPDATE : The Dept of Labor phoned Navajo on my behalf and did get them to agree to a stop payment on the paper check. They promised to put my pay on my Comdata Card within the hour! It won't be much, about $400., but it sure gives me some breathing room -
Good deal! That should at least buy you enough nights lodging to hold out until your sister gets there. That was really big of Navajo to do that. *Sarcasm* I do hope maybe Gordon picks you up or another company.
JustPj Thanks this. -
Way to go Navaho.......classy
Lux Prometheus, markdm4805 and JustPj Thank this. -
That's a good idea, Driver's Girl, they already know my predicament. They've been very kind, and this isn't their busy season, so it's a possibility. It will be an option unless Sis drives all the way here. The stuff will fit in her car. I'll let you know!
Much appreciated!Drivers girl Thanks this. -
Sorry to hear this happened to you...I wish I could help but Im snowed in in Ohio. Will be praying for you.
JustPj Thanks this. -
As other people have pointed out, don't give up on your dreams of driving your own truck in the (hopefully) near future. Also, don't let this POS company even so much as sneeze in the direction of your DAC. And I'm glad to see that the Dept. of Labor was able to help you out.
Good luck to you!JustPj and The Challenger Thank this. -
Thank you, Treputt!

JustPJ,
I worked for a small company out of CA. He was a o/o and a bunch of things were wrong from the getgo. I wont go into details as its the past, but know this; what you did wasn't wrong in any way shape or form. All you can do is move on and keep this as a learning lesson. I would call May Trucking, Gordon Trucking, Prime Inc and any others that hire newbies out of Denver. Explain to them what went wrong if they ask. If they do not, then do not volunteer information.
KHmarkdm4805, thebennyman, Lux Prometheus and 1 other person Thank this.
