Probably not a bad thing, it looks like a nightmare.

LOL..and Ford could answer with the return of the Bronco! Two companies with long histories of marketing turds to the motoring public!

International seems to have a long history of bad timing. They stopped building pickups mid 70's, just before everyone started buying them, they dropped their SUV style Scout, just before the SUV craze.

But I wonder, what engine is it that is going into the new CAT trucks? Isn't their big 15 liter similar or shared parts with the Maxxforce 15?

I think they'll stay with the 11 and 13 liter. Cat has said it has been working fine for them. The MF 15 was the C15 w/navistar's electrical, fuel, and air management system.

IH was just stubborn and wanted to avoid the SCR like the other guys used but you can't fight the EPA NAZIs.

Just think of the cool trucks you buy from the factory if the feds weren't dictating standards.

The MF 15, (not MF 13) uses basically the C15 block, heads and front gear train. The rest is International/Mann. The MF 13 has nothing to do with Cat engines. The MF 13/11 was developed by MANN in Europe to International specs.
