I like that they finally have a 600hp Detroit lol. I would kill to have a Coronado with a 600 horse DD16

Why not do a tune on what you have in your truck? What do you drive? Specs?

This will interesting to see what kind of fuel mileage the newer ISX15 equiped Prostars will get compared to their Maxxforce13 cousins. I just hope fleets are willing to give the cummins powered Prostar another chance.

Wait are you a company driver? 4.3 MPG sucks.

I ran across an acquaintance last week who had been bragging about the new ProStar she had with an ISX, but now says it is a piece of junk, just over 500k miles and the truck was shutting down with an obvious coolant odor. Another lady had also loved her International with ISX but she went local now so I don't know, haven't talked to her in awhile. That was in a 9400, and not sure what that company is buying now
I see other fleets avoiding the ISX, too,and I'm not impressed. Then you have companies buying them in new Cascdias, including Ryder. I like the DD15 in the truck I'm driving now and it is just a fleet specced, low horsepower model. No readouts so all I have to go by is how much fuel to refill and calculate, but it is doing better than the Series 60 I had on short regional with lots of heavy city driving.
Everyone has an opinion, but International's troubles are stemming from poor decisions before and a fanatical belief in going a different route, to the point of court action trying to keep doing it their way, and they have lost. Lots of those trucks out there now, and the reputation is tanking.
On a side note, the ag equipment companies are doing SCR now, and Case, which took over International a while back, is cashing in on a fuel economy advantage from using it, John Deere decided to delay it and that has cost them. Different management with much different results.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
I'm not surprised, only an idiot would want they truck equipped with Cat engine. It doesn't help much to have Bosch fuel system when the base engine is just crap.
