No. The Cummins high pressure fuel system from Scania and Scania VGT from Cummins.

 

Scania didn't want to pay Bosch for overpriced fuel system so they asked help from Cummins and the final product was first HPI and now XPI. It is made by Cummins, Scania just gave some help in testing. Now they are moving back to Bosch because XPI is not very reliable. http://www.scania.com/media/pressreleases/2003121215en.aspx

VGT is Holset, used by many other manufacturers also. Holset is a Cummins brand.

 

Here is one more reason not to buy Cummins.

 

The Bosch CP4 pumps have been having some issues in the diesel pickups and diesel Volkswagens. VW actually did a campaign to lower the pressures to try and sustain the life of the pump.

Its a timed piston pump in a way. It runs higher pressures, and being timed it supplies fuel when the injectors are opening to help stabilize things but has much less capacity than the CP3s did. It is also a much cheaper pump.


IIRC didn't cummins drop the holset name now for just Cummins Turbo Technologies?
