Anyone know a good detour around that scale on NC I77 North. That scale is an SOB because if you have to pick a load up on 52 theres no catscales anywhere near there, at least that I know of, to weigh the load before you cross the scales. Im picking up tomorrow off 52 then heading North on 77. I wanted to know if anyones tried going around that one and which way. Possibly a way from Mt. Airty ending up at exit 1 in Virginia at the Loves???

I just googled Mt airy truck stop and found one at exit 6 on 74 and exit 100 off 77 called Brintles truck stop. I called them and they are open. I will check it out tomorrow, it must be a small one because I have never noticed anything there. Thanks Coastie for helping me out!

Brintles is a fairly large truck stop with a motel and a shop on site. I've never used the scale there, but judging from Google maps, it's on the backside of the shop.

Thanks, I'll check it out tomorrow. I don't know why I've never noticed a sign for it there. I will look closer tomorrow when I take exit six. I think the lady on the phone said the scale is by the garage.
