NC I77 N scale detour at the Virginia state line.

    Was in there couple weeks ago was on sign at road,plus over fuel island that's where I used to scale.but don't do business with pilot/fj,unless no other choice.so now I just put wheels where I think they need to be.scalemaster will tell me if right.the scale there never did me wrong in 19 years.

    Ran it for years before I-77, no jake brakes in those days. There use to be a good truck stop on top that had great biscuits and gravy. Sorry for getting off topic.

    I remember that,,,it was just after crossing under what is the Blue Ridge Parkway now I believe...
    I have lost two family members that were going down the gap back in the old days...I stiil have the Bulldog off the front of my Uncles Mack that went over the mountain one night. His load of potatoes was just too heavy and it got away from him...

    Ran down it in 03 or 04 when they were paving on 77,was a Friday,I was empty,just worried about local cops. Murrows out of thomasville lost several trucks,couple drivers on that hill.

    Would luv to take some a the youngins on here (specially the ones who keep saying ain't no hills back east)over 52 on a good foggy night--and jus for fun do it in a B-Model--like I learned----LMAO

    Just make sure the dummie seat is covered with vinyl,for easy clean up.that hill is no joke with any weight on.and what you mean foggy!

    'Olhand sounds like one of the drivers that used to bust my chops,when I started,you ever run,29,66,301,much? Or remember Arapaho,paratrooper,daddy rabbit,some of the good time gang at 301 plaza?
