Unless you have another reason why you dont like Cargo Transporters I would urge you to reconsider them. Technically its 63 (but who's counting?) and though it sounds bad, it really isn't. And the cameras are only bad if you have bad habits like talking on a handheld cellphone use. They use the cameras as a "coaching" device to help drivers lose bad habits like tailgating, hard braking, turning too quickly, etc. And in most situations the camera has helped the driver in company when accidents/incidents occur.

I live in Hickory, I am home every weekend, and usually a night or two during the week and I do fairly well money wise.

Here is a recent day I had, left out Monday evening and got home before midnight Tuesday night, drop and hook at receiver and drop and hook at shipper. 1,000 miles total. So I think that if "62" bothers you because you dont think you will get any miles, you may want to re think that.

cant say I'd want a camera looking at me either. If more drivers had the cajones to refuse they would take them out. Another encroachment on your freedom as a human being. The most troubling thing about your post is that you don't think being under constant surveillance is that bad.

Once you leave your house and are out in public your every move is under surveillance. Dot highway cams, cams in every store, restaurant, shop, etc. all of that bothers me.

But a cam in the truck that is being used to help me and my company doesn't bother me.

I would look to see any big DC's in your area because they always hire for yard spotters.

Well I do agree cargo do pay pretty good not saying their a bad company just not for me. Their still on my list but at the bottom. I average about 2600 -2700 on e logs so I know can make money with them but still don't like the fact of the cameras.

Anyone who's willing to accept a camera staring at them 24/7 is a subservient fool.

Actually hickory has a few good company jobs i believe. I think saia and a a few LTL companies hire out of charlotte, winston etc around there (i'm near asheville and a hair too far west really). You get on with one of those ltl's and you'll be home every night or every other night and weekends and make good money. The BEST job in WNC is the ingles warehouse in black mountain. Not far from you. they get paid Very well, pretty sure theyre home nightly. Fairly sure they have a waiting list because from everything i've heard its the equivalent of a walmart driving job.

Boyd i dont know wtf i was thinking. Depending on how hard you run etc and if you use your head about how their payscale works (it's weird but end of week the pay is their) talk to Alpha Omega out of fairview nc. It's owned by an actual christian (not one of those preachy people.. he just lives by the teachings). IE the owner is incredibly honest and caring. The guys who work the office are buddies and i absolutely LOVED that company. If youd be willing to drive to asheville they have stuff that can get you home a LOT. When i worked there 4 years ago i was home thursday morning and went back sunday night. i slept in my bed tuesday night. Downside you'll have to drive over to asheville and back once a week. I LOVED this company man.. i just quit because i burned myself out runnign WAY too many miles in way too short a time.

Saia and one other company are running ltl out of winston i think which isnt that far from you. Landair or whatever in greeneville tn, (bout 3 hours from you ish) is hiring. There is at least one small company in hickory. There are 3 i can think of in asheville. None of those advertise. I'm heading to crst malone (i'm excited).. good luck man
