Hi guys, I've been doing a lot of research on different companies orientations but a lot is older info. I'm looking for companies that don't do the "heavy" lifting physicals. I've recently had different surgeries so I'm not looking to be pushed too hard and fail. Please understand I am capable but I can't risk anything too heavy at this time and I'm needing to get started with a company immediately. Please give me as many current details regarding the physical as u possibly can. Thanks everyone I appreciate it- not really interested in wait, don't do it,give it time I'm a grown adult and I make my own decisions. Just looking for current info please
Near NJ-Which Otr companies do just basic physical? No lifting

If you can't do the job. Wait until you can.
Don't rush into something you're not ready to do. -
Best is to call some companies if you don't get replies on here. Some companies are no-touch freight and don't require another physical. They accept your cdl school physical and only do a drug test and some may check blood pressure, but usually just a drug test. Those companies will want a copy of your physical long form for their driver records.
Here's a few that don't require another physical:
Magnum Ltd. would be my first choice of these.
J&R Schugel
TransAm
Freymiller
Navajo Express
Romans Motor Freight
Paschall Truck Lines
Calex Logistics is near you in PA, but don't know the details of the physical or if driver has to touch freight. Call and ask. Maybe @Dsparil can help.
If any of these interest you, call and ask about agility or strength test.
Some websites show if driver no-touch freight; I'd still call though.Last edited: Apr 16, 2017
Middleagedrookie Thanks this. -
Swift doesnt make you do any physical test. The d.o.t. physical doc might have you twist around and bend over to check your back. Also.... urine drug test

When you call, ask if they know where you can park on hometime in New Jersey.
Start a new thread on here,"Where can I park in New Jersey while on hometime."
Hundreds of drivers live in New Jersey. -
If it's your back driving and possibly sleeping isn't going to do you any favors.
