I'm looking for this but in STAINLESS STEEL (not chrome or zinc):

-Exhaust clamp with 3/8" flattened U-bolt and open welded saddle. 5" diameter....

..anyone have a source? Iowa80 is a no-go on Stainless Steel clamps like these...

    Hanadarko,

mcmaster.com is a go to place for me for a lot of fasteners and tubing, bar stock, etc over the years. They do have a stainless clamp selection but I don't see the flattened clamp...regular round only in 304 stainless.

I think this is one like what your seeking:

I've never used them before...just had them in my bookmarks.

    Hanadarko Thanks this.

I discovered this just prior to your post. :biggrin_25519:
Thanks. Yea, these guys are OK - They are here in WI and decent to deal with. They use some El Cheapo delivery company for in state orders but its dirt cheap as long as you dont mind waiting a few days!

Really??? I bought 3 from the Iowa 80 location in Effingham last year when I went all stainless on my FLD.

Also, my local KW sells them, and they are in-stock and only $8.99

My local KW sells CHROME or ZINC. The Chrome were $16.99 each.

I've got 4 of those exact clamps on my truck T304 stainless steel. The only place I could find them was a small chrome shop in PA exit 23 off i78. None of my usual sources for stainless bolts etc had or could get them. They were not cheap but they were exactly what i wanted so i paid up cant recall how much want to say $100^ good luck, dont give up searching

I stopped in there on the way home. They have 5" stainless regular saddle clamps , not the flat ones like above, for $8.99... they also carry 5" ss band clamps for $15.99.

I looked at Empire Chrome and man are the prices high for thos clamps. Was there any reason why you needed the FLAT band style than the regular ones, or do you just like the look better???

Thats what was on the truck - so I kept it the same.

You could use either style. Flat just grips better and look better IMO.

    Makes sense.

I got a source for these....$19 each with free shipping if I buy 4.
I am gonna hold off for the moment and see how the chrome ones do.
The ones on the driver side (replaced in FEB2011) aren't rusty..so maybe..
