    Hi everyone.
    I've had my CDL-A a year now.
I'm a FDNY firefighter looking for driving work on my days off from the firehouse.
No one will hire me at all for tractor trailer work without 2 years experience. And no one will give me any work to get experience on a part time basis.
I've literally applied to every company I've found in the Internet and job boards.
I've been driving flat bed boom trucks for granite hauling for a few months, but the owner is asking me to take a pay cut so I'm back here looking for work.
I really want to drive tractor trailers; but I'll take whatever I can get if the pay and workload is fair.
I'm a clean, hard working guy, very reliable, never any issues in my life.
Clean driving record and have my TWIC card.

Anyone have any leads on work for me?
    Thanks in advance.

I would check with the mail hauling companies such as 10Roads.

What about hauling fuel? I would dread to do it where you live but considering you live there and being on a Fire Dept. you should know the area pretty well and shouldn't have any problem getting Hazmat endorsement.

    GESchaefer Thanks this.
