Need a little info from some of you hitech truckers

on the internet problem Verizon is probably the best all you need is an aircard and a contract with them 99 bucks a month for so call unlimited service that is limited to 5 gigs a month.

 

There are several FAIR programs. I use TWO.
Roxio Creator 2009
Ulead Video Studio 11
both are around $65 and can be downloaded.
But they are RESOURCE HOGS and I wouldn't recommend using them on a PC with LESS than 2GB ram

I currently use SPRINT Wireless Broadband. It USED to be UNLIMITED, but now they limit to 5GB a month.
I get internet in MOST places at speeds from 14kbs to 350Kbs (or faster). I have actually clocked a download at well OVER 1.5 Mbs. I don't use any thing "extra" with my Novatel Ovation U720, but I CAN plug in a cell phone antenna if I want to.

 

Another good one, but don't know the cost is Adobe Premier Pro. I have the full Adobe Creative Suite, so don't know what it would be to buy it solo.

 

Adobe Premier Pro runs between $499 and $699 depending on the vendor.
Adobe ELEMENTS gives the BASIC parts of Premier at about $70 to $120 (for the Photoshop/Premier ELEMENTS Bundle).

 

Video Spin is free...just Google it.

It's also YouTube ready.

 

If ALL you do is read email and surf the net, you won't likely go OVER that limit, but if you STREAM MOVIES, (like NETFLIX) you will go over real quick.
Is it worth it? Depends on how well you want internet and how SECURE you want to be?

 

I didn't like GIMP. It only does VERY basic stuff.
