4 to 5 stops a day and up to 200 miles from the DC on longer trips. Somewhere within that radius. Every DC is going to be a little different operating radius though. If you play by the rules you'll never hear from anyone. They're not difficult. It's the easiest job there is driving a truck they cater to drivers and try their best to have everything going smooth. Typical complaints of other drivers aren't problems you'll encounter. You'll encounter some but they seem almost laughable compared to real trucking.

Crosby in Staunton? My Ex's brother was a mechanic there in the 2000's. Seemed to like it but he was always rescuing trucks.

Maybe that's where your leaving from, dunno.

Schneider has tanker jobs with a dedicated Ecolab account up in Martinsburg, and you'll get home every weekend for the 34, once or twice per week for your ten, making about 55-60k a year. But you would have to learn tanker, and all NE runs.

Living on I-81 is hard. Maybe get the tanker and learn how to haul milk. Dairy guys have the shiniest trucks, and there's a lot of dairy on the I-81 corridor.

Wow, to be a company driver.

I'm not going through boot camp to get into prison.

OP needs a forklift license, you'll make just as much as a truck driver, and go home every night.

Look at hauling trash! Easy money. MBI is a decent trash hauler or just drive a garbage truck Too many jobs with Waste Management in Tidewater, where I live. I drove for First Fleet for a few years in a PT gig when I didn't have a load to run in my truck. Do some research and look through Craigslist. Tons of jobs out there.

Standards. Basically what the industry lacks they actually have them and stick to them. It's a good thing. Weeds out the sad sacks that just don't GAF and there ain't no fork lift drivers making what a Walmart driver makes.
