I am a driver with about 2 1/2 years of experience and I just added hazmat and doubled/triples to my license. I live between Memphis and Little Rock. I'm looking for a good company. I would like to have my own truck, but at this time the only way I can do that is to lease it. Before you throw a bucket of flames my way, I know the horrors of leasing. Been there, done that. That is why I am looking for suggestions. I saw Hirschbach, but after reading about them I have to second guess them.
I'm not looking for someone who has a grudge against a company to tell where NOT to go. I'm looking for someone with the experience and knowledge to tell me who the good ones are for my experience. Any help?

You looked at Bruce Oakley N Little Rock? I don't know if they have offer any sort of financing but I understand they are a 100% O-O company and if your credit and trucking work history is good you should be able to get into a truck. Or, perhaps I'm a little confused about your post. Maybe you are you wanting to work somewhere as a company driver that has lease O-O opportunities down the road?

Many of the drivers at Schneider seem to be doing okay.
It's actually a "finance" deal, and not a lease deal.
I'm against it personally. But, won't knock you for trying. -
I actually worked for Schneider for a while. They were a good company and I hated to leave, but I wanted to go back to school. I'd go back, but I'm better off where I am right now. The thing that I hate right now is I was in three different trucks last week and the one I'm in now is currently in the shop.
I would go buy one and just finance it, but my credit is not all that great, that and I have absolutely no way of saving the money for the down payment. Even a company job with good pay and benefits would be good if my wife could go with me, but I would rather be working towards owning my truck instead of helping someone else own one, you know what I mean?
