Joesph is correct. He has 12 yrs driving so he must know something about the industry and companies.I do wish you luck but don't hold your breath.Encouraging or not,if Pam gives you a chance take it.This industry is getting harder and harder to get into every yr.More laws being implemented, more and more companies put u under a microscope. Many drivers and wannabes can't get hired no where for a lot less then whats on your record.Rather then focusing on landing a trk driving job you should settle for any job that'll pay your bills. Then you're on parole,no company can guarantee to get you home every 30 days.I'm afraid that the cards are stacked against you.

I used to be a recruiter. While your murder conviction will make it next to impossible to find a job, those that would hire you are not due to your parole. I don't think you're going to find company sponsored training either. It doesn't hurt to try, but I wouldn't count on it. You could try getting on with a local crane and rigging company as a non driver and work your way up or try the same thing in the oil patch west of you. I'm going to take a wild guess and say your tatted up. Covering up as much as you can would be in your best interest while knocking on doors.

Not sure I'd be comfortable as a team driver,

I trust my dog more than cons.

tired of replacing stolen wallet ID's.

I hear that. You have to be close friends with a con to really trust them.I am good friends with an ex convict. He tried and tried to get a driving job but couldn't.He did land a job as a welder for loadking because a friend got him the job.Ten yrs later and hes still there making excellent money.Bought a house, car and his favorite,a boat.

Though I can understand your statement I find it a little closed minded. I have never stolen anything in my life...including the time I spent locked up. My "crime" was because I fought too hard to save my life. My misfortune was that I had an idiot for a lawyer and now the price is having people assume I am a thief because I was convicted. Never in my history as an adult have I ever stolen anything. Your stuff is safer with me than half of the people you trust.

I already own my own house, car, and two trailers. Remember I owned my own business for the past five years. You guys may be right. I may have no chance but I'm not gonna quit trying.

I like that, determination. But in your case your only hope may be someone you know in this industry that has pull and can get you in the door.
