    i am 37 years old i have 4 trucks & 4 trailers & a local tow company & my own authority been working off the load boards but the rates are trash i need to get some direct customers or dedicated freight live in st louis its steady loads prices are down need POSITIVE advice From a Mentor old school trucker..........

    Pick up the phone and start dialing or hit the pavement and start soliciting shippers. Other then that you can try adjusting your lanes in case your stuck in doing the same thing that was working and now it’s not. Lastly, cut costs that don’t affect safety and always be saving your money during the better times to get you through the bad times. Whether you let your foot off the gas during good or bad times, it’ll always bite you. When times are bad run hard, when times are good run just as hard instead of thinking your good and taking time off.
