@Chinatown Is Western Express not an obvious choice? Or, are they mainly for driving offense issues?

He doesn't have a cdl yet. Pretty sure Western Express will hire him if he graduates from any cdl school.

As I mentioned, my company, J Rayl Transport, hires drivers with similar records. We have a terminal in Sunnyvale (just east of Dallas), and there’s a paid apprenticeship program. I’ve driven for them for four years, and I’m fairly happy with the company.

This one might well be worth a try.....it's a southwest regional gig with USA Truck....there's no mention in it of any previous CDL experience req'd...or any specific non-history with felonies:

USA Truck -- Southwest Regional -- dry van

    Here's the same job opening....but on Indeed.com:

    USA Truck -- Regional

The above is unique becuz it has that USA Truck load board access, after 12 months of statisfactory service (the "Drive Your Plan" program -- pretty much an industry exclusive).

Might knock on National Carriers door also? They avoid Texas chainsaw massacre types. :)
Just apply and don’t give up.
Lots of companies in Dallas FtWorth area.

I was curious if they were going to keep their "pick your own loads" program after they were bought out...sounds like they've kept it going.
