I will try not to make this too long, but I feel I need to put all the info out there...I might be in the wrong but I feel my old company is.
I was running refer for a company over three years ago. While on my home time, I got a call saying I was hired for a local driving job (if I wanted it). I accepted the position and decided to do the honorable thing by giving my OTR company a two week notice.
Well, several loads and almost two weeks later my company tried to put me on a load that would send me OVER my two week notice. I expressed my disagreement and argued my point that I had given my notice. After much back and forth, I was told to drop the load in the yard and they would repower it. I arriaved at the yard and a driver just coming off home time was already there waiting on it.
I have been with my local job for near three years now and I decided to check my DAC just to have a copy (I am trying to get promoted and don't want any issues etc). I saw that I was hit with a "Quit Under Dispatch".
Was I in the wrong, or is my old company here?? What are my options??

Your old company screwed you. They are wrong. You can fight it by getting hold of dac (hire right)

Don't sweat it. I had the exact same thing happen to me. Spot on. When I found out about it several years later, was asked by my current employer, told them what happened, they said oh..okay. Been here for years. It don't mean squat. Sour grapes on your previous employers part. That's it. Some a hole trying to stick it to ya. Don't mean a thing. Not a thing. Drive on driver. Drive on.NavigatorWife, Straight Stacks, Bob Dobalina and 1 other person Thank this.

Ive had companies deny me employment because of some issues on my dac. Everything checked out, good mvr, good csa, etc and then a big fat no when they looked at my dac.
NavigatorWife, timd1978 and americanmadetrucker Thank this. -
No doubt that can happen. Sucks too. As absolutely destitute as this industry is today, getting a good job is not hard. If your MVR is clean, CSA and you haven't ran over a bus load of nuns, you're in like a dirty shirt. No need to get too worried about it nowadays. 8 years ago, yeah. Not now.Last edited: Feb 25, 2016

Have you gone for jobs that don't check DAC?
I'm in a similar position as you, clean MVR but bad DAC. -
Yeah, i hired on last year with a small 12 truck company. I found em' on craigs list. But the bigger companies all seem to check dac.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I am just trying to get some advice and weigh my options ($$$). Thanks for the responses
rachi Thanks this. -
Unfortunately, right or wrong at this time is not going to help, unless you have documentation. DAC is basically a credit report that companies use for employment references. Contact them directly and tell them you want to dispute that event. They will show that you are fighting that "charge" and it should not negatively affect you futureNavigatorWife and timd1978 Thank this.

I would assume the qualcom msgs are saved for a period of time. I submitted my two weeks via qualcom msgs and the argument me and dispatch had over my last day should be on the qualcom history (if stored) as well. Would DAC care to push this or would a lawyer have to get a court order??
