I don't know how T-check works, but Com-data card requires the truck company (you) to "front" about $5 grand into the account. Then you can fuel and put cash on the card for the driver to use, either for road money or repairs. This includes writing a Com check which anyone can accept. Fleet one, or is it First fleet, always mix them up, one's a truck company, the other's a fuel program will give you credit for a week, if you have good credit. And they take it out of your checking account weekly, automatically. Or, send cash with your driver, (not recommended). Try to get a good mechanic near your home base and have him do scheduled repairs when the truck is home. Trusting unknown mechanics 1000 miles from home is risky. Or use a credit card.

hi thanks for the info, yes i have a mechanic shop at my parking yard so there will be maintenance at the yard itself oil change and everything else on regular basis, but just in-case something happens on the road that's why I need to send him with some kind of check that can turn into money and i need the control of that check how much and to whom it's payble etc from online website on demand.... And yes definitely cash to the driver is not recommended and I will not do that or not send him with my credit card either. That's why i'm exploring the options which are better and suitable and what people out there uses in this situation.

I would like to ask something, and i really want to know the answer here, i am not trying to be a smart butt either.
here goes, how did the process work where you acquired a truck, and have hired a driver, but dont know how to enable to buy fuel, repairs etc. while on the road.
it would seem the proper way would be find all this out before hiring a driver or purchasing equipment, etc.
but in part answer , if you are leasing to a company they will either provide an advance or fuel card. honestly though with no more upfront knowledge than this, you will be easy pickings for a less than honest driver. you got a rough road ahead. you have much homework ahead of you.BigBadBill and RedForeman Thank this.
