You'll have to second seat for awhile.

For all intents and purposes, you have no experience....at all.

Most likely, a recruitor will suggest you pay for and take a refresher. Then they won't offer you a job.

Maybe your state has stimulus money or what not to pay for or help pay for a refresher course. There's always the driver mill companies to try. Good Luck.

harleyg, I was in a similar position last year this time. I encountered the same attitude, I was told by some of the larger companies that I needed to get a refresher course. I have a CDL Class A and have had since I was 18 then called a Chouffers License, and have been driving but just not over the road. Could not get a viable company to even give me the time of day. I found a local owner operator to give me a shot and for the last 10 months have been driving for him. Give a look at your local owner operators their requirements may not be as strick. Just get at least 6 months experience and you could perhaps move on to better things. HTH
