I have put in quite a few applications to various companies. I am really looking to get on with Melton, but I also am trying to get on with Prime's tanker division. I'm also waiting to hear back on a dedicated with Schneider. I don't think ill be getting on with Schneider at this time as they told me they only had 1 spot left on that dedicated and I was the 3rd driver interviewed for the spot. I really would like to get into driving flatbed or tanker but I can't seem to find too much info on Prime's tanker division, and a lot of mixed stories on Melton. Any info you guys can provide me about these two would be greatly appreciated, or if you know a better company for tanker or flatbed I would appreciate that too. Thanks in advance!
Need advice on my next driving job

I am very happy at Maverick, and many/most of us who drive for them are. Melton drivers always seem pretty happy. I know that the Hogan Flatbed division drivers seem happy, as do the Boyd Drivers. I know a TMC guy a little bit, and he has liked them but is contemplating moving on from them last I heard for a local van gig. Don't forget to look into these companies. Maverick, Hogan, Boyd, and TMC. Also, look into a regional/local Flatbed company that may be around your area that loads steel in a conestoga or covered wagon. Those guys seem to do pretty well too.

Oh, and check out BTC and Decker too. BTC has some very nice new Macks. I haven't talked to any of their drivers tho, so not sure about how they feel, but I have seen a lot of both of these companies trucks out there recently too, I just forgot to add them to that list.

I looked into decker but they have a minimum hiring age of 23
but thank you for your posts, I went ahead and applied at maverick, Boyd, and looked into Hogan but they aren't currently hiring in my area.

Melton is a successful company; been around since the 1950's. Melton and System Transport have APU's.

Where are you located? You may be in a hiring area for other companies with APU's. I thought you are in Tucson. -
I moved to Prescott, WI about 3 months ago.
Chinatown Thanks this.
