Okay let me see how is asking for help or asking advice or asking who someone else recommends asking someone else to do the work? Your really prime example why people hate truckers and why in God's Earth do you bother to respond to people questions if your going to be rude downgrading or idiotic? Go troll someone elseThe Biggest Dawg and Deere hunter Thank this. -
Thanks was wondering if that was fair price. I do have occupational not workman's comp I apologize. Thanks -
Not trolling you should know business stuff. A big part of trucking is negotiating

You need to file a worker comp account with no employees. It's about 80.00 a year I think and you get the cert. Basically it says you dont have coverage because you are self employed with 0 employees. Then give them the certificate. Dont pay them for the coverage. Still a joke and no coverage.
Not 100% on that price, but I can look it up when I have time.blairandgretchen and Adisiwaya Thank this. -
Thank you big time will look into this!! -
It is not such a bad thing.
I used to buy an occupational insurance $200 as a contractor for a carrier I was leased on. Any driver that was hired by an owner op, even if they were hired on 1099, and the o/ps themselves were required to have one . It was not such a bad thing, any injury while at work was covered by it. A guy busted his hand one time while restocking pallets, stitches and all...he could not work for some time and they paid the med bills and also, If I remember right, they paid him some money to live on based on his average earnings.
I don't have it now but I am thinking about getting it. Health Insurance might not be a very good substitute, especially if an accident or injury happens out of state (network) where you are covered - emergencies... yes but other things like follow ups and lost wages compensation not so much.Adisiwaya Thanks this. -

At $137 a month that is NOT workers comp!
It is occupational accident coverage (oac). People call it workers comp, or get that because it is so much cheaper than actual WC.
You will never no the difference (except in premiums) Until you use/need it. Then you discover what junk it is.
Real WC us based off of last years gross pay and is expensive, if say at least 2.5times 2gat your paying.jbgrim72, Derailed, blairandgretchen and 1 other person Thank this. -
It varies cost state to state. And some states require it depending on the amount of employees you have/have not
Adisiwaya Thanks this.
