Good Afternoon!
I need advice.
I'm choosing between 2010 Utility Carrier X2 2100A with about 1000hours and 2009 Utility TK 310 or 210 with about 6000 to 8000hours. If some body has an experience in this, please share with me.
What is pros and cons between them?
I heard Carrier are not as reliable as TK.
Service Points?
Price for Parts?
Holding the Temp?
Avg maximum hours before rebuilt?
I'm planing to haul produce from CA & AZ to OH, PA, NY. It will be long distance.
Thanks!

I can't help you much with the details of your question, but I have also heard several different people say that the Thermo Kings are better/more reliable than Carrier...
puffinsmoke and FireTrucker Thank this. -
That's what I'm talking about, I heard TK better & relaible, than carrier

My choise would be a TK. It is important that the refer unit is quiet. Once you own one you won't be able to drop it at a yard and hook to a different trailer. So if the refer unit is noisy you going to listen to it nightly.
FireTrucker Thanks this. -
Noise not a big deal for me, most important reliable

I found that the carriers I pulled seemed to always struggle in the hi temps of summer to keep a low temp maintained a lot more than the TK's anyway. I always had much better mechanical luck with TK's also. Seemed like the carriers I pulled were always having issues and as someone else mentioned them carriers are extremely loud most of them anyway.

I'm shure there is more, than several o/o produce hauler. Why don't all of you share ur opinion with me?
Thanks for all inputs

I run a 2006 Utility with a Carrier Stealth unit on it. I bought the trailer used and it now has about 7850 hours on it. There has been no real problems with the unit besides a altenator and fan clutch. Yes my Carrier is loader than a TK, but it also moves a lot more air than the same spec TK. For me air movement is a big deal hauling split temp LTL. Plus I have also found that the TK is overpriced from the time of purchase along with higher part and shop cost.
FireTrucker Thanks this. -
tk has been very good for me . however i have no experience with the new dpf versions
FireTrucker Thanks this.
