I am a recent graduate with many job offers. I am confused on who I should run with. There is W/S (which is my first choice), CRST, USX, Scheinder, Central, GTI and Conway. I like W/S because I can be on the road in 10 days, but I like USX because of the teams I just don't want to drive an auto. Out of the companies mentioned which one should I run with? I know many may have negative things to say, but I would like your honest opinion. I need to go with the company that will pay me the most. I have a wife and 4 kids I need to support.

    Thanks

    YBB

go with your first choice. something made them stick out in your mind. do not delay or "dilly-dally" with a decision as time goes by.

    The current fad= W/S= watkins-shepard

6 months ago it was Swift

9 months ago it was TMC

Why not pick another company and start a new fad ???

Oh yeah, you younger noobies, a fad just means =current trend.

With the family you meantioned, I'd aim for GTI from your list. They are primarily a western 11 company.

All told tho, look carefully before you leap. Then choose whats best for you to gain experience. .40/per mile won't mean much if you only run 1500 miles. A 10 day training program won't help much when you get 3 tickets at a weigh station on things you didn't learn about during that 10 days. Weigh the positives vs the negatives.

Best of luck to you and welcome to the road.

    Palazon,

Thanks for the info. Do you work for GTI? I have heard good things about them. Most drivers never leave there from what I understand.

    Rerun

Thanks for the advice. I need to make a decision quickly. I should have completed 3 days of orientation at W/S by now. I know I will be working some where by November 15.
