If i did it , chain front and back like your picture , and as far as straps , one in front and in back . Big thing is the chains , keep them tight . No flop. Double check height and nothing out side edges of trailer .
    Good luck

I would chain it from the top using 1 chain and binder for each corner and crossing them in the front and back. If I was planning on putting more freight on the deck and needed more space, then I would do all lower corners and pull them towards the center of the container on each side. If you feel like you want straps, put a twist in them so it doesn't flap around and damage the paint on the container. If you've chained it correctly, you don't need straps.

Isn't there something about using one chain and binder to secure both sides of a load? Half the WLL? I'm not sure

Were it me, and I oversecure IMO, I'd have a binder for each corner and straps depending on weight.

Not saying that's close to right, but what I've done

I've sern em strapped only too

I believe containers have a specific DOT/FMCSA way they are to be secured.

Loaded containers...all 4 corners must be on the deck. If it were empty you could use only straps.

Id say you done a good job on that one @PUMPKIN389
